Handy Person Needed

Handy Person Wanted – Part-time, Self-Employed, £25/Hour  (£35 first hour to cover travel) 


Join Cornerstone Property, a family-run business that provides quality housing in Bristol. We are currently looking for a skilled Handy Person to handle various maintenance tasks across our Airbnb properties, student lets, and family homes in the Bristol area. The role offers flexible hours, averaging 5-10 hours per week.

About the Role: Your tasks range from quick repairs to regular maintenance. Our user-friendly email-based ticketing system allows you to select jobs that match your skills and interests, ensuring you only take on work that you’re comfortable with and at times that suit you. 

Key Responsibilities: (anything you can think of around a lettings business) 


some examples: 

  • Setting up accommodations for new residents (e.g., furniture assembly, bed setup, curtain installation)
  • General maintenance tasks (e.g., changing locks, taps, cutting keys)
  • Touch-up painting between tenancies
  • Conducting condition and maintenance inspections
  • General repairs (e.g., doors, windows, furniture, bathroom fittings)
  • Simple refurbishments and decorative work
  • Emergency maintenance assistance
  • Installing curtain rails, fixtures, and fittings
  • Hanging pictures and mirrors
  • Re-sealing baths and showers
  • Shelving and fitted furniture installation
  • Small carpentry and building jobs, minor plumbing tasks, and basic electrical repairs
  • Opportunity to assist with larger refurbishment projects if interested

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Self-Employed
  • Rate: £25 per hour (minimum 1-hour call-out, First hour £35 to cover travel. Then pro-rata of £25/hr)
  • Full Day Rate: £160 | Half Day Rate: £80 (negotiable for larger projects)
  • Materials Reimbursement: Submit receipts with your invoice to accounts@cpinvest.co.uk
  • Please include a breakdown of total labour costs and a separate line for materials
  • Attach before-and-after photos for each job
  • Invoice per property address. 
  • Any job exceeding £200 requires phone approval. (call and let us know what is going on) 
  • Use your vehicle and tools for the work
  • Communicate professionally with tenants to arrange repair scheduling
  • Respond promptly to maintenance tickets to ensure efficient, high-quality service
